Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are Open 24 hours. Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Erie peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

1 of my fave places now to visit when in Erie. In a quiet burb is the 🎾 ct, hills to roll down, open stage & peace of Frontier playgrounds. The metal slides are accessible by hill & stairs for hours of play. Benches to daydream & rest, grounds of wildflowers & greenery, trees & trails. No 🚻 but porta is 1 downside. Trees downed from storm sit, be safe, smart & treat public spaces like they're yours.

It's fine. We came by to check out the slides but they were all closed. Was a neighborhood park with labeled trees, nothing too special.

Fantastic park in a convenient location. The trails and pathways are well maintained and easy to navigate. Most importantly it is very clean and well lit. Come here for the farmers markets in the late summer.

This park is nicer than it looks from the road. The trails are clean and easy to follow. It has a soccer field, tennis courts, a playground, etc... I recently discovered about the painted rocks that people in Erie painted and hide. I found 4 and decided to keep the smallest one and relocated the other 3. It was fun finding them.
